I have been thinking of how I’ll write this post for quite
sometime now, and to be honest, I don’t think I’ll ever figure out the perfect
way, so I’m just going for it.
I have absolutely adored my blogging experience – It has
lead me to meet the most wonderful people, build great relationships, and
experience things I never would have if I didn’t blog. I really think there will be days that I will miss
it, but for the most part I think it’s best I close this chapter.
What has brought me to this?
Well, it’s a bunch of things. I
started my blog for fun, but now I find it feels more like an obligation
because I don’t want to let my readers down.
I used to enjoy sharing what I came across online and bits about my
life, but now with Switch Studio being so busy I don’t have time to browse
online or do anything blog worthy {let alone photograph it} in my life {other
than my work of course}. And to top it all off, I recently
had a bit of a health issue. An
operation has fixed it, but I’m still on close watch for at least the next two
years – This changed me. It changed my
outlook on many things, and now, when I have free time from work I don’t
want to feel like I have to be spending it online.
I think blogging is a beautiful thing, and it fit perfectly
in my life for quite some time, but things change, and it’s just no longer a
good fit. My focus has changed, by
business has changed, my goals have changed, and I have changed.
I will miss all of you, some of you I know, and some I don’t
– But you will all be missed. I truly
hope you will come and visit me over at The Switch Studio Blog, where I will be
posting work related stuff weekly. Switch Studio also has a Facebook page and Twitter account. You
can also find me {personally} on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest, so please come say hello.
I thank you all for following along with my sweet little
blog.
See you!

Take care Staci and thank you for inspiring me - good luck in your new direction!
ReplyDeleteOh Staci, I am so sad to see "inspired by life" go. But I completely understand. Other things take precedence over blogging. I hope all is well health-wise and I will continue to follow you over at Switch Studio and sing your reupholstery praises whenever I get a chance :) You are incredibly talented and I'm so glad to hear the business is going well. I'm sure I'll see you around soon! xoxo
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to you Staci. I will still visit you on FB , twitter, and Switch Studio Blog. Tons of hugs.
ReplyDeleteWow, Staci... I am so proud of you! You will be greatly missed, but I am following you on social media, so I know we will keep in touch! I wish you nothing but continued success and much happiness. You truly deserved it all. Sorry to hear about your recent health scare and glad to hear you're on the mend. Thank you for being such a wonderful blog friend! xo
ReplyDeleteThanks for the sweet comments ladies! I've had plenty of smiles this morning thanks to you all! xo
ReplyDeleteGood luck to you Staci...I will see you at Switch Studio! You are so talented.
ReplyDeleteI have loved following your blog, but completely understand, if it becomes a chore or an obligation its not worth it. Will continue to follow you through switch and social media but it's been a pleasure getting to know you through your blog! Xo
ReplyDeleteStaci! I will definitely miss reading your posts. I certainly understand the feeling of obligation; I am a much better blog reader than writer :). From one fellow Humber alum to another... I wish you all the best of success in the future and I can't wait to work with you once I get started in the industry.
ReplyDeleteAll the best,
Chanele
Thank you from a daily reader in Burlington! I will miss your great blog as always enjoyed the local info that I derived - Elm Hill Cookies for one! I do understand and wish all the best, NB
ReplyDeleteI'm just seeing this now! I can totally relate - blogging can be a huge time suck and something has to give (in my case I have been neglecting going to the gym!) Hope you are on the mend. Take care of yourself Staci and I'm sure we will connect on Twitter/FB etc. xo
ReplyDeleteIt's been way too long since my last visit here, and now you're gone :-( But I totally understand how you feel - blogging can be fun, but it can also be way too time consuming and frustrating at times. On the bright side, it's great that Switch Studio is doing so well and that you're still blogging over there :-) Hope you're doing well after your surgery, and I'm sure we'll catch up on FB & Twitter, and maybe at a future event in TO :-)
ReplyDeleteTake care :-)
Kelly
Wishing you all the best!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that but I can totally understand! Glad I will still se any updates via Facebook. I have admired your talent and am glad I will see it from time to time. If only you lived closer....I would love to have you re-vamp a piece for me!
