Hi there, Jo Alcorn tuning in! When I was in Montreal one weekend I picked up Maison & Demeure, the House & Home French Edition, and I feel in love with one of their featured homes. So I thank Staci for allowing me to share my new find with her blog readers!
Simply an elegant mix of natural materials married with modern style. I just love the mood and feel that each room possesses, with the calming of the colours combined with the washed out raw resources. This is truly a favourite, not only because I love white, but how perfectly they have created charm and balance within each room. I love the washed out wood planks on the island and then mimicked on the walls to create that focal point of interest in each space. The fresh light airy colour is the first attraction but then if you look closer the lighting choice in each room is another unexpected conversation starter. Having two different designs styles in the kitchen and dining room is something that is a definite unanticipated lighting decision, especially being that close in proximity. I just love the hanging side pendants in the bedroom! However the kitchen is what sold the show for me, I have a fatal attraction to the flow and clean lines. I can so see myself enjoying this space as a chalet or cottage taking in the view of Mount-Tremblant! Purely Peaceful! This space is a relaxing therapeutic get away that would put anyone in a calming state of mind!
Thank you Staci for allowing me to share my dream gateway with everyone, I am now in a more tranquil mind thought just thinking about it!
