Megan's Favorite Interior

Today I am thrilled to say we have Megan from Honey We're Home here to share her favorite interior!  I'm sure you all know Megan, and if not, then you at least know her closet {you can see it HERE} which has made it's way all over the blogisphere.  Anyway, Megan has incredible taste and the space she is sharing with us today is stunning, so let's get to it...

Hi all!  I’m very honored that Staci asked me to participate in her series!  Let’s get right to it!
Since I’m always on the hunt for decor inspiration for our home that we built and moved into last year, I’ve found lots of favorite spaces around blogland, but one home that was recently revealed left me breathless.   The home belongs to Sue of
The Zhush and was was designed by Lauren Muse (with Sue’s collaboration of course:)    Keep in mind as you look at these images that Sue has 3 kids!!!  This home proves that family doesn’t have to mean juvenile or primary colored! :)

This living room is just perfection!   I’m a big fan of serene spaces and Sue’s is just that with lots of visual interest.  All the detail on the furniture and the combination of fabrics is divine!  I also think they did a fantastic job choosing and placing the furniture and accessories in the room.  And I’m in love with the geometric patterned rug!  And those windows and view!!

How’d you like to take your daily bath or shower in this room?  The wallpaper, floor, rug, and window pelmet are my favorite.  But notice what looks like a glass doorknob, so charming!

I love how they achieved such beautifully, calming spaces while keeping things fresh and modern.  Lucite table, diamond rug, nailhead chair and mirrored accent table- yes, please!!  Even her wastebasket is stylish!

I totally dig the use of moldings in this room- adds such character- look at the ceiling!  The light fixture is gorgeous and I love the functionality this room provides.  Plus the compass on the floor is pretty cool!

I’m partial to rooms that have a bit of a masculine feel but this one is so gorgeous!  I loooove the pillows and chocolate sofa.  The orange throw really pulls it together and adds that softness.  And talk about paneling done right.  I read that they were going for a “Mad Men” feel and I think they nailed it.

Ahhh, I’m ready to move right in!

Thanks for having me Staci!!

  4. Totally agree with Megan, Sue's home is gorgeous. She defnately did not sacrifice interiors just because she has kids and that is inspiring. Loving the Ikat pillows!

  6. I've seen these pictures of Sue's home before, but enjoyed looking at them just as much the second time around :-) So many beautiful elements in her home, it's hard to choose a favourite - but I have to say, I totally dig the balloon dog on the mantel :-)

  9. WOW! What a fun surprise to see this over here...and THANK YOU!!! Full disclosure...I do have three kids, but with the lack of a computer, tv and or a wii in the living room, they have no interest in this room at all really, (notice there are no photos of the family room...). Thanks again for the all of the great comments!
