Wendy's Favorite Interior

Joining us today to share one of her favorite interiors is one of my besties Wendy from Desire 2 Decorate!  Wendy is a mother of two awesome little guys, has amazing taste for all things related to design and decor, and she makes a delightful cappuccino!

I could go on and on about Wendy, but I will keep it short and sweet, and say say I am honoured to call her my friend, and happy she is participating today.  Now, onto Wendy...

Hello, SED fans! Staci has an incredible eye for design and I’m thrilled she’s asked me to participate in her ‘Favorite Interior Tuesdays’ series. Like Vanessa from last week’s feature, I too had a hard time pin pointing a favorite designer. I had a short list of favorites however, I wanted to keep focus on Canadian designers. As difficult as it was, I’ve chosen Colleen McGill from McGill Design Group as my favorite.

Colleen mixes fresh, modern design with timeless classics which combines beauty and warmth in any space. Her design style really resonates with me simply because her work beautifully blends so many design elements that I want in my own home wish list.  She’s been featured in
House & Home and Style at Home several times however, most recently her spaces were featured in House & Home's November issue and Style at Home's December issue.

Every room is beautiful… and timeless! Loved in 10 years just as much as they are today. I think her spaces can be enjoyed by adults and kids adults - okay, perhaps not the white living room - but for the most part her spaces are family friendly too! I hope you’ve enjoyed my peek into Colleen’s design world. Thank you Staci for having me as your guest blogger today!

Every room is beautiful and timeless indeed!  I really love every aspect about this interior, and want to run downstairs and start making a bulletin-board-bench-seat-nook like the one in that breakfast area... Adorable, right?

Thank you so much to Wendy for her wonderful post today, I knew it would be a great pick.  Be sure to head over to Wendy's blog Desire 2 Decorate for some more great posts, and tell her I say hello!

  2. Lovely interior indeed. Colleen has a great eye for furnishings - I think the house has such beautiful architectural elements to work with, but it's the choice of fresh, clean, timeless furniture that truly makes the interior pop.

    Thanks, Staci and Wendy.
