SoHo Nice

For those of you who don't know, I have a major love for New York City, and try to go a couple of times a year!  Sadly, I have not been this year due to a hectic schedule, but I have NYC on the brain, so hopefully I'll make it out there soon!  We usually stay at the same place in SoHo because we love the neighbourhood and have become familiar with some favorite spots {which I will share with you shortly}, however we think it's time for a change as we were not as impressed with the hotel last time we stayed there.  I have done some research and found where I want to stay next time... Ladies and gents, welcome to the Crosby Street Hotel...

It's located on a quiet {as quiet as a street could be in NYC that is} cobblestone street in the heart of my favorite place - SoHo!  It's the perfect location to stay because you're kind of in the middle of it all, yet SoHo is still very quaint with cute shops and restaurants!

The lobby is so very cool, much like the rest of this stunning boutique hotel!

The restaurant, bar and terrace look like great spots to grab a cocktail and a little something to eat after a long {and when I say long, I mean a very long} day of shopping!

And of course the rooms are darling!  I especially like the floor to ceiling old warehouse style windows and the oversized upholstered headboards.

And of course the suites are even better!  Some of them have walkout green spaces... Yes, green spaces in New York!  Interesting fact - The Crosby Street Hotel is one of the most eco-friendly hotels in the US, and it hopes to be the first hotel in NYC to be certified Gold LEED by the US Green Building Council, how wonderful.  So, do you love this hotel as much as I do?  Well, if you do and find yourself there be sure to check out my Top 5 Favorite places in SoHo...

1. The Cupping Room Cafe - for the best breakfast in SoHo.  Note: If you need to use the washroom, be sure you do not suffer from claustrophobia, it is ridiculously small!

2. Felix - For the best spot to watch the world go by and sip cappuccino.  Note: This place fills up fast, so if you want a good seat be sure to get there early!

3. Vosges - for the best gourmet chocolate.  Note: The chocolate may sound weird {due to ingredients like bacon, paprika, or even wasabi}, but give it a try because everything tastes incredible!

4. Cipriani - for the world's best pasta, hands down.  Note: The servings are very large, ordinarily I would say share, but the pasta is so good you probably won't want to!

5. Sanctuary T - for the best martinis in SoHo.  Note:  All of the martinis are infused with natural teas, but don't let that throw you off, they can be rather strong!
If you have been to any of these places, plan on going, or go due to this write up inspiring you, please let me know - I would love to hear all about it.
Happy New Yorking!
