Beauty From Christine Lane

Happy Thursday everyone!  I'm happy the weekend is almost here, I feel like it has been a long week for some reason, which is strange because usually they fly by.  Anyway, I am due for a beautiful interior to inspire me, how about you?  Today I am featuring an interior by Christine Lane...

I am in love with this home's casual elegance, and of course with the bold photography!  The horses in the artwork are proudly Canadian, as they live on Sable Island, which is just off the coast of Nova Scotia.  Currently there are 300 wild horses that live there, who are all protected under Canadian law, I envy the photographer {Tony Stromberg} for getting so up close and personal with them.  I grew up riding horses, and have always wanted to see a wild horse in person!  I watched a documentary about  Tony Stromberg and the Horses of Sable Island recently, which reminded me of Christine Lane's portfolio, and of course I had to feature it.  I hope you all enjoyed the beauty of the interior and the background about the artwork!

  1. Great pick Staci! I love the single chalkboard wall in the kitchen -- instant entertainment for kids!!! I love when homes give this feeling of being well put together and decorated but comfortable - and guests don't need to feel as though they need to be on edge.

  2. I think you nailed it on the head when you said casual elegance- these spaces are relaxed but beautifully put together.

  4. Love this home, especially the room with the wood ceiling and the fantastic horse photograph in the bedroom :-)

Thanks for adding the Bake-N-Blog button to your sidebar. And for participating, of course! I hope it's as successful as the inaugural event was :-)

  5. Wow, the ceiling in the sitting room/great room/living room is stunning! Love the rustic wood beams and that coffee table that looks like a giant piece of driftwood - I WANT ONE! :)
