{Bake-n-Blog Day}

Well, today is the big day!  All of the bloggers participating in the Bake-n-Blog will post their results today on their blogs, so please join me and all the other bloggers for some virtual tasting!  {Click HERE for a list of all of the lovely participants, along with links to their blogs} And now I will share my baking experience with you...

I signed up to bake Cupcake #25 - Sour Cream Raspberry Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting! Yum!

I am a major organizational freak, so before I start baking I like to measure out and prep my ingredients to insure smooth sailing for the baking process.

Here is everything mixed together just before I mixed in the raspberries, don't they look good?  I do little tastes as I go, and I must say it's amazing how good butter, sugar and sour cream taste mixed together... A new snack idea perhaps?  Ha Ha!

They're all set to head into the oven, don't they look fun?  I love the bits of colour the raspberries add.  Originally I was thinking this was going to be the longest 20 minutes of my life waiting for those delicious cupcakes to bake as they taunt me with their aroma... Then I remembered I still need to make the frosting - that will distract me and help the time fly by!

Luckily I had the ingredients for the frosting all ready to go, so it was easy to whip it all together before the cupcakes were done...

Which left time for me to enjoy the best part of baking - licking the beaters!  Oh joy!

I pulled the cupcakes out of the oven {after 25 mins, not 20 as the recipe says} and they looked perfect.  I let them cool, topped them with frosting and a raspberry, and voila!  Don't they look amazing?

The first bite was wonderful...

And so was the last!

I had such a great time doing this, I enjoyed meeting bloggers from near and far and of course I loved baking and eating these yummy cupcakes from Ming Makes Cupcakes!  I will be checking in on everyone's experiences throughout the day, I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did.  Perhaps I'll make it an annual event, what do you think?

PS - I have entered a MckLinky Tool below so that it's easy to access everyone's postings for the day.  To sign up just click on "Click Here To Enter" below!  Thanks!
