Don't they look delish!?! I really would like to try baking all of Ming's 33 Cupcakes to see if they are as yummy as they look, but I'm pretty sure that:
A. I would never have the time to bake 33 different cupcakes, and chances are Ming would have more recipes up before I finish, so it could be a huge commitment.
B. I would need to spend way more time working out if I tried baking AND tasting them all, which would mean my relationships, business and blog would suffer dearly!
C. Adam would not be impressed with me force feeding him cupcakes all the time as we are into living a healthy {or fairly close to healthy} lifestyle.
But oh they look good! So, for now I will commit to bake Cupcake #25 - Sour Cream Raspberry Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting, seeing as there are raspberries in them I may be able to pass them off as healthy to Adam {tee hee}!
Now for my fun idea... If other bloggers want to join in, we can have a Bake-N-Blog Party! It could be fun, kind of like a mini "Julie & Julia" bit, but as a team! I say we each sign up for a cupcake to bake from Ming Makes Cupcakes and blog about our baking experience, and better yet how delicious they are, on August 19th - that gives us 4 whole weeks, so no pressure. What do you think? Are you up to it? If so, comment below on which cupcake you want to claim as yours, add your link and mention the Bake-N-Blog on your site... Then we'll see each other in blog-land on the 19th for the Bake-N-Blog Party for some yummy virtual sampling! Mmm mmm good!

Ok Staci- I'm going to dive in and do #16, the Guinness Choco Cupcake.
ReplyDeleteReally excited- Can't wait!
Hello Staci! you have a fabulous blog! thank you for sharing those ideas! (I'm sorry if my writting english is not well.)
ReplyDeleteHugs from Spain!
Great idea! Cupcakes are the best! I am in for #10! I'm using the same idea as you - there is fruit on it, so it must be healthy, right?
ReplyDeleteI'm really living on the edge here, but I'm in! Guess I can't resist a challenge, and for me...baking is a huge challenge! I'm going for Cupcake #6! Thanks for the invitation!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a baker, but this challenge sounds like so much fun...and I found the perfect cupcake (that was calling my name) to bake (pray for me) #24 -- Coffee Chocolate Cupcakes with Baileys Irish Cream Frosting. Apparently I will need alot of coffee with Baileys to actually bake these yummy treats!!
ReplyDeleteJust remind us again Staci before our baking deadline. Thanks!!
Decisions, decisions!! Hmmmm.... it's a toss-up between #4 and #32. I think I'll do #32, Graham Cupcakes with Key Lime Cream Cheese Frosting.

Such a tough decision! But I am a total chocolate lover so I'm going to have to go with #5 Sis's Chocolate cupcakes with choc frosting! Tempted to pick a few others but I have some picky eaters in my house and don't really really want to eat them all myself :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm going to do #29 - Vanilla Cupcake with Strawberry filling. Yum!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous idea! Are you okay with my little girls be the taste testers {I don't eat refined sugar... I know I am a health nut}. Anyway, I would love to try out #8 if not taken and okay by you. Thinking they might be nice for my Dad's bday party next week.

Changing to #1. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteI'm going to do number 28. The gingerbread cupcakes!
Can't wait. Im going to try and get my Mum and Aunty to do it too.
See you all on the 19th!
xx
Can I do cupcake 5 ? I am so bad at presentation, I might just be able to scrape by. My baby daughter in England is doing one too and she has inspired me to give this a go - all those pictures are good enough to eat right off your page !
ReplyDeleteHi, I'm Sally's Auntie and Kate's sister and I would like to attempt #9, the Mango with Buttercream Frosting and Coconut but I will need their advice! The cupcake photos are just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I've already made about 5 of her cupcakes, and photographed/blogged a few of them. I could do: the banana cupcakes with maple frosting, the key lime cupcakes, or the "savoury" cornbread cupcakes with cream cheese icing and bacon. Let me know what you'd prefer I do, or if I should try a new one!
ReplyDeleteOoo I love this. I think #25 sounds heavenly but, so does the carrot one.
ReplyDeleteIs it ok to make more than one? My Mum, Aunty and I skyped and baked last Monday, and had such a great time that we are going to repeat it next Monday. I'll let the others tell you what they're going to make, but as I currently live in Cornwall in the UK, there's no way I can not make the Eton Mess cupcakes. A classic dessert favourite over here, especially in the summer!
ReplyDeleteHi, Sally's Auntie here again- yes, we (and my sister Kate who is Sally's Mum) had a great time doing skype-and-bake together. We want to do it again with another cupcake and I'd like to try #32. If someone else is already doing it then I'm happy to blog mainly about the first cupcake I did which was #9.
ReplyDeleteFor our second round of bake, cake'n skype I will do no 24 - hope that's all OK !!
ReplyDeleteHi! I'd love to do the carrot cupcakes (#12).
ReplyDeleteOh, I just realized my comment from a couple of weeks ago isn't here! I made #18!
ReplyDeleteIs it to late to join in on the fun? Could I piggyback with you and make cupcake 25?
ReplyDeletewww.talkchowplayhouse.com
Found Your blog Via Deliciously Organized and this is such a great idea! I can't wait to hear back on how some of these taste!
ReplyDeleteI am going to do #31 - Flourless Beet Chocolate with Whipped Cream....it sounds strange and interesting but I bet it is going to be good!!
Oops. disregard last comment!!! I didn't see that it is finished today! Love the blog though!
ReplyDeleteI think I might still make them at some point just won't be for the blog party!
