{Party Time}

I try to hold a party with friends and family every summer because I always find with our busy lives it's hard to see each other as often as I would like, so this gives us a chance to all get together!  I was laying in bed last night thinking of ways to make the old summer BBQ different than it has been in the past, and I thought why not have a cocktail recipe party!?!  So... my idea is that everyone sends me their favorite summer cocktail recipe ahead of time so that I can put together a cocktail recipe booklet for everyone to take as a party favor.  I would be sure to give each cocktail a witty name that related to the person who submitted it to make it fun and personal. I would make a pitcher of each cocktail for us to rotate out of the fridge throughout the evening with labels of the names on each pitcher, and have appropriate o'horderves to be served with each.  What do you think?  Have any of you done a party like this?  If so I'd love to hear how it went!  Here are some delicious looking cocktail recipes to get the ideas flowing...

This is the Blackberry-Mint Julep it can be served over ice or blended with ice for a slushy type of drink.
Get the recipe HERE.

This is the Frozen Ginger Lemon Drop, the bright yellow colour makes it look so refreshing!  Yum!
Get the recipe HERE.

These are Pear Lemon Fizzies, the flags definitely add some cuteness!  Get the recipe HERE.

This is a Cucumber Mint Gimlet, a simple twist on an old favorite!  Get the recipe HERE.

Last but not least the Pink Salty Dog because no cocktail party would be complete without serving something pink!  Get the recipe HERE.
I'd love to hear about your favorite summer cocktails, or great party ideas so feel free to leave a comment below or email me.
Cheers!
